How to Connect WhatsApp to Grok for Your Business
The short answer
Grok doesn't answer your customers on WhatsApp itself, but a custom connector lets it sign you up for an assistant that does, on your own number, and set that assistant up. Go to grok.com/connectors, press New Connector, choose Custom, and give it the address https://conciergr.com/mcp. Conciergr is the assistant; Grok does the paperwork.
We ran the prompt below in Grok on 1 November 2026. It reached Stripe's card page, where we stopped.

The prompt to paste into Grok
The steps
- Copy the prompt above.
- Paste it into Grok. Start a new chat on grok.com. Grok gives you one click at a time and waits.
- Add the connector at grok.com/connectors. Press New Connector, then Custom ("Add your own custom connector"). Name it Conciergr, put the address under Server URL and press Add Connector.
- Sign in and approve. Grok says "Complete authentication in the popup window", and Conciergr's page opens there. Use your business email and connect Grok. Grok then shows "Connector added successfully".
- Tell it your business name. It starts your signup and hands you the card page.
- Add your card on Stripe's page. Only you can do this, and nothing is charged during the 30-day trial.
- Connect your WhatsApp number in Meta's window, on the phone with your WhatsApp Business app.
- Let it set everything up. It learns your business from what it can reach, then asks a few questions at a time for the rest.
Your assistant stays paused until you say to switch it on. Prices are on the pricing page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Grok plan do I need?
Grok's pricing page (read 1 November 2026) doesn't mention connectors, and its connectors docs name no plan limit for individuals. Some third-party guides say custom connectors need a paid plan, and our run was on a paid account. If Custom appears under New Connector, you have it. On Grok Business and Enterprise, the docs say a team admin adds a connector in the cloud console first.
Does Grok need an API key for this?
No. It signs in with OAuth, so you approve it on Conciergr's page and there is no key to paste. If you're told to create a key, you're looking at something else.
Can Grok send messages to my customers?
No. A connected Grok can do what you can do in your portal, such as change settings and read what's waiting, but it cannot message your customers, take a payment or connect a number.
Should I let Grok read my customer chats?
Check your Grok data settings first. A connected Grok can read chats if you ask, so decide whether that suits your customers' messages.
What about Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is a separate app from the Grok chat, an agent that keeps working in the background. We haven't finished a run in it yet, so we won't tell you it works. This page covers the Grok chat at grok.com.
Do you have this for other AI apps?
Yes: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, your dot in ChatGPT and Meta's Muse. All of them are on the AI assistants page.
Conciergr answers your enquiries in seconds, around the clock, from documents you own, and your team keeps using WhatsApp exactly as before. Sign up by pasting one prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini; you add the card and connect WhatsApp yourself, and the first 30 days are free.
